TAKE2 Partner’s clever invention cuts office waste

Melbourne architect Jon Yong was unhappy with the amount of paper he wasted at work. So nine years ago, this TAKE2 Member developed the Paper Saver.

He made the first one from cardboard – just for himself – never initially intending to design a product for the market.

Today, the Paper Saver looks much more professional, and holds A3 and A4 scrap paper for note taking on the back blank sides. The aim is to make it the last notebook you ever buy.

Paper and paper products are the largest component of landfills and as they rot, produce the pollution that causes climate change.

While double-sided printing or not printing at all are the climate friendliest options, Paper Saver is a clever way to reuse A3 and A4 paper where you had to print single sided.
