When it comes to climate change, TAKE2 Founding Partner Melbourne Health knows prevention is better than cure.
Given our hospitals are where we make people better, Melbourne Health wants to do its bit to make sure our environment is healthy too.
This leading Victorian health provider has installed a Gaia organics dehydrator at the Royal Melbourne Hospital. The dehydrator processes organic waste from the hospital's kitchens, cafes and the Walter Eliza Hall Institute.
It means Melbourne Health diverts around 250 tonnes of organic waste from landfill every year, reducing annual greenhouse gas emissions by an impressive 400 tonnes.
This organisation is proud to partner the Victorian Government’s action on climate change. You can make a difference too. Make the TAKE2 pledge today.
