Bicycle Network sees TAKE2 as a perfect fit for their organisation because like TAKE2, they want to see more Australians ditch the car in favour of the bike. By regularly swapping horsepower for pedal power, commuters can reduce their greenhouse gas emissions, avoid traffic snarls, save money and improve their health.
Around 70,000 Aussies are set to take part.
Probably the most exciting aspect of Ride2Work day is that many cyclists continue to commute on two wheels, making a significant dent in their greenhouse gas emissions. More than half of those who took part in the 2015 event are now riding to work regularly. It’s that kind of behaviour change that will help Victoria reach net zero emissions by 2050.
So once you’ve ridden to work this week, why not TAKE2 and really make a difference to climate change?
If you are riding to work Wednesday enjoy a community breakfast near you, thanks to the Bicycle Network.https://www.bicyclenetwork.com.au/general/programs/3603/.
