Grant funding available to improve energy efficiency

Does your business spend more than $20,000 a year on power bills? There may be ways to cut those costs by operating more efficiently. That’s where an energy assessment can help.

This assessment will look at potential ways for your business to better manage its energy needs, by identifying energy efficiency improvements, and reviewing pricing tariffs and suitable renewable energy options.

From taking simple actions to adopting new technologies, the results can save money and reduce greenhouse gas emissions — good news for your bottom line and our planet!

Better yet, Sustainability Victoria can help reduce or eliminate the cost of the assessment through an Energy Assessment Grant.

Depending on your business’ energy use, there are two types of grant available:

Basic energy assessment grant: Up to $2000 towards the cost of a basic energy assessment and a further $3000 bonus to implement energy efficiency actions. This is recommended for businesses spending between $20,000 to $50,000 on energy per annum.

Detailed energy assessment grant: Half the cost of an assessment up to $15,000 and a further $5000 bonus to implement energy efficiency actions. This is recommended for businesses spending more than $50,000 on energy per annum.

Applications close 28th September 2018. If you need help with the application process, we have advisers on hand to guide you through it. Find out more at sustainability.vic.gov.au.
